How Many Boxes Do You Need?
When moving, it can be tricky to determine exactly how many boxes you'll need. You might underestimate and find yourself scrambling for boxes at the last minute, or overestimate and end up with extra boxes once you're finished packing.
To help, we’ve put together a handy guide to give you an idea of how many boxes you might need based on the size of your home.

Packing Boxes
Our Large Tea Chest boxes are perfect for packing a range of items, including fragile or bulky ones. Made from strong, twin-cushion recycled cardboard, they offer excellent protection and are easy to stack for storage or moving. These eco-friendly boxes are fully recyclable, helping reduce waste. With dimensions of 431mm x 406mm x 596mm and a capacity of 104 litres.
Our Medium Book Cartons are perfect for packing books, well-wrapped wine bottles, CDs, and other small, non-delicate items. These boxes are slightly smaller than our Large Tea Chest Cartons, with dimensions of 406mm (L) x 298mm (W) x 431mm (H). Crafted from durable corrugated cardboard, they offer strength and reliability for your move. Ideal for transporting smaller items that need extra protection, these boxes are a great choice for safe and efficient packing.
Our Large Full-Size Port-A-Robes are perfect for transporting clothing you want to keep hanging during your move, such as blazers, dresses, trousers and button-up shirts. Each box comes with a hanging pole, ensuring your clothes stay neat and wrinkle-free while in transit.
We’re happy to buy back your used cartons once your move is complete. To qualify for the buyback service, please write only on the tape, not the box itself. The buyback amount will vary depending on the type of carton.
Packing Boxes
Large Tea Chest Carton
These boxes are versatile, and great for packing a variety of items, including those that are breakable or a little bit bulky. The Large Tea Chest boxes we stock are strong, twin cushion boxes, providing great protection for your items. Large Tea Chests can fit a lot of items within them, and are easy to stack for storage or removal. Large Tea Chest boxes are made using 100 per cent recycled/environmentally-friendly cardboard, and are 100 per cent recyclable once you no longer have a use for them (which saves on waste!). These cartons have a length of 431 millimetres, a width of 406 millimetres, and a height of 596 millimetres. They can hold 104 litres, and weigh 1.18 kilograms, when empty.
Medium Book Carton
Our Medium Book Cartons are great for moving items such as books, wine bottles that have been well-wrapped, and CDs, just as a few examples. This box is smaller than the Large Tea Chest Carton, with the Medium Book Cartons measuring 406 millimetres long, 298 millimetres wide, and 431 millimetres high. These boxes are sturdy and contain corrugated cardboard. They are best suited for transporting smaller, non-delicate items during your move.
Large Full-Size Port-A-Robes
The Large Full-Size Port-A-Robes we stock are ideal for transporting clothing that you wish to remain hung up during your move. This includes items such as blazers and button up shirts. These boxes come with a hanging pole that allows clothing to remain hanging while in transit.
Buy Back Service
We'll happily buy back your used cartons after you have completed your move. In order to qualify for the buyback service, please only write on the tape (rather than on the box). The amount you will be paid for each box depends on the type of carton.
